Madrid, Spain, definitely has its fair share of hotspots, night clubs, discotecas and clubs. If you are passing through Madrid during your travels and want a quick and dirty guide to the hottest clubs and knowing how to be cool during your visit to this hopping city by night, keep reading:

The first thing that you need to understand when it comes to the hottest spots to be cool in Madrid is that you cannot expect the dance clubs or night clubs to really get going until 1 o’clock in the morning at the earliest. Many of the hottest spots in Madrid don’t even begin to see any action until 3 o’clock in the morning, which is long after the bars elsewhere have closed for the night.

The club prices are going to vary significantly depending on what time of the day or night you decide to enter, along with how you are dressed and how many other people are already inside the club. Mega clubs like the Palacio Gaviria and the Moma 56 can easily charge several euros more than your traditional discoteca or dance club. If you keep your eyes open for stamped tickets that can be found in bars throughout town, you might be able to get into one of the swankier night clubs for a lot less than if you were to simply show up the night of, expecting a deal.

One of the hottest spots in Lavapies in Madrid is El Juglar, which is an excellent bar designated for a bohemian style crowd. This particular bar offers excellent soul and down tempo jazz beats with some fiery nods to the flamenco crowd in the late evening near the end of the weekend as well as on some Wednesdays. El Juglar is easily busy from the moment the doors open until the club closes in the morning, but if you want the best possible dancing and the greatest experiences, the after midnight Latin tunes crowd is what you are looking for.

Another hot spot is the Room at Stella in Sevilla. This is the kind of club that personifies the attitude that the midnight and later crowd is all about in Madrid. Do not even think about arriving past 3 o’clock in the morning at this club, because not only will there simply be no room for you, but nobody inside is even going to think about walking out until long after done. One of the best DJs in all of Madrid, DJ Angel Garcia spins here regularly, and his excellent visuals are enough to leave you absolutely cross eyed. If you are looking for an awesome time in one of Madrid’s greatest hot spots, and you want to spend your early morning feeling like one of the cool crowd – Then the vibrant and heady place known as the Room at Stella is the ideal night spot for you.
